• VERY GOOD New favorite way to eat leftover turkey from thanksgiving, especially using dark meat. Very similar to bbq pulled pork. First off I used a 4quart slow cooker 2hrs on high and 5hrs on low. Next, while making it, I felt like it had too much water. Instead of 6 cups I used only 2. I also added an extra 1/2cup bbq sauce. This made it thicker and more like stew than soup. Also I added 1 whole diced green pepper and 1 whole diced red pepper. I also just diced the onions and chucked them in the crock pot instead of cooking them first. I didnt use the food processor and it took about 30min to prepare. Very Very Very delicious. Will definitely cook again.

• Made this for fun this weekend and although it tasted pretty good, some adjustments need to be made. The recipe as written needs to be used with a 10" Bundt pan or two smaller pans. Using a non-stick spray is not usually a good idea for a pan and cake like this so I suggest butter and flour instead. Cook time will be between 75 and 90 minutes. Stand mixer is nice but not necessary though I do suggest using a hand mixer to thoroughly combine the ingredients. The Kit Kats should be doubled or they get lost in the batter. This really isnt a Kit Kat cake, more like a vanilla cake with Kit Kats. The frosting is okay and does pour nice over the cake. Over all, the flavor was pretty good and making it was pretty fun.

• We all enjoyed this cake. It is very dense, and like the other reviews, it is basically a vanilla cake with crushed candy inside. I agree that you can double the candy if desired. The candies do take a back seat to the dense cake. I used Kit Kats, Whoppers, and Twix- basically a bunch of leftover Halloween candy, which is what I wanted to use up. You can mix and match with any chocolate candy to your tastes and it wont ruin the cake.This is not a recipe that I would go out and buy Kit Kats for to make over and over again throughout the year, but I think this will be a yearly tradition for us to make out of Halloween candy.Thanks for the recipe Very tasty

The meat came out perfectly tender and the sauce was rich and flavorful with the use of the balsamic and beef stock. There was a slight sweetness from the brown sugar and balsamic, but, we really liked it. The sauce was a little thin for how I wanted to serve it, so, I added a cornstarch slurry at the end to slightly thicken it and it was perfect. My husband was not a fan of the lemon zest on the top, but, I liked it. I served it over garlic mashed potatoes and it was a perfect meal

For the shallots I just did 1/2 cup minced. I didnt want to get out my scale to weigh out 8oz. I cooked them for about 6-7 minutes. I have never added both balsalmic vinegar and brown sugar to a dish. Unsure how that would taste I did 1 Tblsp of balsalmic vinegar and 1/2 Tblsp of sugar. For the stock I used 100% natural Swanson Beef Broth in a can. It was what my local store had. I probably also added a little more mushrooms and used them sliced, as they came, instead of quartering. After I added the meat back, I turned the heat to about 3, and simmered 15-20 more minutes and then served. I may try it a little longer, next time, to see the difference. I just did not want this to turn into completely shredded meat or too mushy in texture for today. ty
